Welcome to Tŷ Hafan

What would you say to the parents of a child who is expected to die in childhood?

If you could offer only two words of comfort, try these -"Tŷ Hafan"

When a diagnosis is given which offers no hope, or when treatment is abandoned, families often feel isolated, alone and afraid in their grief. Many children's conditions deteriorate slowly, and this puts an enormous strain on family life. Holidays, family activities and outings are denied; parents rarely have a normal mealtime, a full night's sleep or time to themselves. Healthy brothers and sisters inevitably feel left out, as attention focuses on their sibling.

Tŷ Hafan provides respite, palliative and end of life care for children who suffer from conditions which mean that they will not reach adulthood. We believe in making the most of these short but precious lives.

To our donors and supporters, two more words...

"Thank you!"

Time to put the kettle on!
