Suzanne Goodall MBE

Suzanne Goodall - Member of Tŷ Hafan Board

Suzanne, our founder and first chair, started the Tŷ Hafan appeal in 1988 with the daunting task of having to raise millions of pounds to build, equip and run the hospice for the first year. Still an active member of the board at 86, she tries to attend as many of the fundraising events as possible and is a regular visitor to the hospice and appeal office. Suzanne lives in Beddau near Pontypridd.

Suzanne served in the Second World War, trained by the South Wales Borderers in Dering Lines, Brecon, served 4 years with 129 mixed H.A.A. Regiment RA as Captain and worked for 33 years in Rhydlafar Orthopaedic Hospital as a state registered Occupational therapist.

"To know that Tŷ Hafan is there for our ‘special families' is an abiding joy for me, and reward enough."
