Who can volunteer?

Almost everyone! We encourage people from all walks of life to volunteer and we will always aim to find a volunteering role to suit you.

Is there an upper age limit?

No, there is no upper age limit to volunteer at Tŷ Hafan. However, to volunteer at the hospice you will need to be 18 years or over and to help at one of our shops you will need to be 14 years or over.

How much time do I have to commit?

The answer to this one is simple... as much as you want to give! Some people volunteer for a couple of hours a week regularly, some help at one-off events and others help in the school holidays! It is entirely up to you as an individual.

Will volunteering affect my Job Seekers Allowance?

Volunteering will not affect your Job Seekers Allowance providing you are still actively seeking and available for work.

I am on Incapacity Benefits, will this be affected if I volunteer?

Your Incapacity Benefits will not be affected if you volunteer.
