Light up a Life

Christmas is a time of celebration and sharing, a time to reflect with friends and relatives. Light up a Life is your time to dedicate a light to someone special. Remember a loved one - support Tŷ Hafan.

This Christmas, we're inviting you to light an online candle in memory of someone special on the national Light up a Life website. Online candles are easy to light - simply include the name of your loved one and a dedication to them.

The candle will burn from the day you light it until the last day of February 2010, which is when the national hospice Light up a Life 2009 campaign draws to a close.

There is no charge to light a candle in memory on the Light up a Life website, but we would ask you to consider making a donation to Tŷ Hafan. We provide comfort, care and support to over 300 families in Wales, and with little government funding, over 80% of our costs must be met through public donations.

How much you give is completely up to you - whatever you feel is appropriate.

Step 1
You'll be asked to register your details and choose a local hospice to receive your donation, if you wish to make one - please choose Tŷ Hafan.

Step 2
Make a donation to Tŷ Hafan via the secure donation pages.

Step 3
Leave a dedication and light a candle in memory of your loved one. Once you've lit your candle in memory, you may return to it as often as you'd like. You can also add it to your favourites, using the button at the top of the page, or even forward it as a link to friends and family, should you wish to.
