Taff Trail Cycle Challenge

Join us in September as we embark our hugely popular annual Taff Trail Cycle Challenge. This year we are hoping to beat the record set in 2009 which saw a record breaking year for the event, with over 100 teams taking part in either the 55 mile Full Taff or our increasingly popular 28 mile Half Taff.

The event is open to teams of 4 riders with a registration fee of just £8 per rider. Why not set your team a fundraising target too, for example £500.

The Full Taff takes riders along the beautifully scenic Taff Trail from Brecon to Cardiff Bay, whilst the Half Taff gives riders the chance to ride half of the trail from Merthyr Tŷdfil to Cardiff Bay.

The first thing that you cannot fail to notice is the fantastic sense of team spirit and you can feel the anticipation from the teams who are ready and excited about the challenge ahead.

In 2009 we were joined by teams from all corners of Wales, and once again we were delighted to see teams coming from England to take up the challenge too.

The Taff Trail Cycle Challenge is a team event, so the overall finish times are more of a personal achievement rather than a race against the clock. It is also great to see every team members face smiling as the welcome sight of the finish line came into view.

With quotes such as “Totally looking forward to next year already, I am hooked on the adrenaline buzz of it all" coming from one of our riders, it's easy to see why 2010 looks set to be another sell out year.
