FORTHCOMING EVENTS

17 March Susan Longdon Memorial Trophy General Dynamics F.C.

The Susan Longdon Memorial Trophy will be an annual event in aid of Ty Hafan, this year scheduled for 17 March at Newbridge RFC with kick-off at 7.00pm.

The two teams involved are actually all members of one club General Dynamics Football Club of General Dynamics UK Ltd. newly kitted out and playing in their 1st and 2nd Team Colours of red shirts, white shorts, black stockings with red tops against sky blue shirts, white shorts, sky blue stockings so the theme is very Manchester Derby-oriented!

The match itself is a charity memorial match, the memorial part being to Susan Longdon and her husband Nick, who were tragically killed in a road accident a couple of years ago Susan was closely involved in charity work on behalf of Tŷ Hafan This is the teams inaugural match since kitting out and they all think this is a fitting launch; it remembers a popular colleague and supports a worthy cause.

5 April Rosie Swale Pope 26 Marathons 26 Days !!!

Starting on 5th April, Rosie will run 26 measured marathons in 26 days, pulling her famous cart Icebird! The marathons will all be in Wales and England.

Rosie says “It is just a little challenge, but is very important to me. The marathons are my personal thank you to all the people in my country who have always been there for me through thick and thin, and it will be in aid of two very special hospices.

There are many causes that are forever part of my life. I felt the need to do something for the children of Britain during these marathons, and intend to raise funds and awareness for Tŷ Hafan, the family hospice in Cardiff, and Helen & Douglas House in Oxford”.

7 Courses, 112 holes, 6 clubs, NO bags, NO trolleys, all in 15 hours starting at 5am!!

8,9,10 April LlanfairPG - Whitland cycle

Eurfyl Lewis, Richard Lewis, Clive Edwards, John Davies, Dai Kirk, Arwyn Thomas, Colin John, Jason Evans, Simon Allen, Roy Llewellyn, Phil Thomas, Paul Davies, Michael Higgon, Dai John, Richard Merriman and Tudor Lewis are all cycling from LlanfairPG to Whitland in 3 days!

They shall be finishing their challenge at a concert at Whitland Rugby Club on 10 April. This is an added opportunity for topping up their fundraising efforts and all are welcome.
