grant income from local health boards

Local Health Board grants are provided under the Section 64 grants scheme. The grants contribute to the core running costs of care services. Our income from the scheme increased between 2002–3 and 2010–11 by just over 2% per year. Since the 2011–12 financial year, our income from the scheme has remained frozen.

our long-term future is vital for our children and their families

For many of the children, young people and families, there is no one else they can turn to to receive the care and support they need.

87% of people believe everyone with a terminal illness should have the right to receive hospice care.
78% of people believe that the government should contribute 50% or more towards the cost of hospices and hospice care.*
