For the RecordWednesday 14 July 2010
It will be music to the ears of record collectors everywhere now that the Ty Hafan shop in High Street, Blackwood has launched its new music department selling vintage 12” albums and 7” singles.
With technology moving forward and the demand for music downloads ever increasing, the poor old vinyl disc is now harder to find than ever, therefore the new music department at the store looks set to attract all fans of collectable and sought after vinyl and music lovers in general.
“The new department has already proved to be very popular” said shop manager Claire Samuel “We hope that customers will come in and find some real gems and help Ty Hafan to continue offering its care services to life-limited children, young people and their families across Wales.”
To help maintain the new music department, the shop is also looking for donations of vinyl records that are in good condition which can be sold in store.
The shop is also desperately seeking good quality household items and books, and are urging local residents to have a clear out to help support Ty Hafan.
Donations can be made directly to the shop between 9.00 – 5.00pm, Monday to Saturday.
