"Olympic" teams do battle at Tŷ Hafan "It's a Knock Out"
Monday 18 June 2012
Teams who have already entered the Tŷ Hafan “It’s a Knock Out” event taking place on Saturday 21 July at the South Wales Police Sports Ground in Bridgend, have fully embraced the Olympic hype which is sweeping the UK by choosing to represent countries from Australia to the Virgin Islands.
Contact centre staff from AA Insurance Services will be no doubt sporting their lederhosen as they represent Austria whilst who knows how the firefighters from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service will portray the Virgin Islands !
“We are delighted with the way the teams have really entered into the spirit of the Olympics to make this a really fun event “ commented Craig Ananin from Tŷ Hafan.
Kate Williams from Barclays Bank said "Ty Hafan is a charity close to our hearts at Barclays. We are really looking forward to representing Japan and Greece at It’s a Knockout and we already have our outfits sorted. I just hope we can still manage to get through the tubes and things and that bits don’t come off with the water ! It should be a really fun day and great for team building !
There are only 10 team places left so don’t miss out on the fun of Wales’ very own Olympics.
Entry is £100 per team to register for the event with each member being asked to raise a realistic minimum of £55 in sponsorship.
All money raised on the day will contribute to ensuring that Tŷ Hafan can continue providing care and support to the increasing number of children, young people and their families, from across Wales, who are being referred to its range of services.
The fun will start at 11.00 am on Saturday 21 July at Waterton Park, Bridgend so now is the time to get your team of 10 together from amongst your friends and workmates and register at www.tyhafan.org/knockout or contact 029 2067 2060
