There were plenty of smiles all round at the hospice in Sully as Stereo Kicks, Jay James, Only The Young, Fleur East, Lauren Platt, Andrea Faustini and Stevi Richie spent quality time with the families.
The stars took time out of their current tour to visit Tŷ Hafan and even treated families to an impromptu sing-along which was enjoyed by all!
Mum Natalie Boggis, from Aberdare, said: “Rhys and Carys had such an amazing time and were so pleased to have met them. They are all such lovely people and Carys made great friends with Lauren and wouldn’t leave her side all afternoon!”
Jay James enjoyed the afternoon and later tweeted:
“A beautiful day with the children, parents & staff of @tyhafan & @Tog4ShortLives ! Amazing place! Gives real prospective & Inspiration xx.”
The singers later performed at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena for the X Factor Live Tour. The visit was organised by Together for Short Lives, the UK charity for all children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions. Proceeds from the sales of Ben Haenow’s X Factor Winner's single will be donated to Together for Short Lives and will benefit Tŷ Hafan along with other children’s hospice and palliative care services across the UK.
