Tŷ Hafan, the hospice for children in Wales, is asking primary schools across Wales to take part in its Fancy Dress Friday fundraiser on 15 May to help life-limited children and their families create memories they will cherish forever.
Wales rugby star Leigh Halfpenny, an Ambassador for Tŷ Hafan, is supporting the campaign taking place during Children’s Hospice Week – the UK's only awareness raising and fundraising week for children with life-limiting conditions and the services that support them.
Leigh said: “Tŷ Hafan is an amazing charity that helps life-limited children and their families make the most of the time they have left together. Please be a hero this Children’s Hospice Week and help Tŷ Hafan care for more families across Wales.”
The theme for this year’s Children’s Hospice Week is ‘Making every Moment Count’ which is why Tŷ Hafan is appealing to teachers and pupils across Wales to dress as their favourite hero from a moment in time.
It could be a historical figure, a music idol, sports star or even a character from their favourite TV show.
The school which raises the most funds could even be in with a chance to win a visit from a Welsh rugby hero thanks to ESS, Education Staffing Solutions, who are kindly supporting the campaign.
