Tŷ Hafan has teamed up with solicitors across south Wales to offer a free Will-writing service.
Throughout March, the Write a Will campaign will see local solicitors waive their standard fee for helping prepare a Will for clients, in return for a small donation to the charity.
Susan Griffiths, from Cardiff, said the Write a Will campaign had reminded her and her husband that they needed to update theirs.
"We were already Tŷ Hafan supporters - we've been doing their lottery draw for a few years," she said.
"We had done our Will previously, but needed to renew it because our daughter was grown up and we had written the first one when she was only 16.
"When we found out about the Write a Will campaign, it was good because it's one of those things you think about doing, you know it needs to be done but you never get round to it.
"We rang the charity, we were given information and the list of solicitors, and made our appointment.
"We went to the solicitor we had chosen from the list, he did the Will for us and a week later we went in to sign it.
"It was simple and straightforward. It's a good thing to do and a important thing. It saves a lot of hassle at the end of the day."
Kath Jones, Legacy & Individual Giving Fundraiser at Tŷ Hafan, said: “A Will is the only way to ensure your wishes will be honoured as you intend and protects your loved ones from the added stress of resolving financial and legal issues.
“One-fifth of the services provided to families are funded thanks to gifts in Wills.
“By taking part in our Write a Will campaign, you’ll not only be securing your wishes, but you’ll also be securing the future of life-limited children in Wales.”
