snowpups let off their leashes

We’re looking forward to the start of our Snowdogs: Tails in Wales sculpture trail after a flurry of special deliveries!

This week puppy-sized sculptures were delivered to Snowdogs: Tails in Wales Learning Programme members all across south Wales, ready to be painted with colourful new coats!

More than 40 schools, community groups and education and training providers from Barry to Brecon have all got their paws on a bright white pup, ready to decorate with a design of their choosing.

The new arrivals have quickly made themselves at home and programme members have let their creativity off the leash, holding competitions and challenges to decide what their pup should look like and what its name should be!

The finished pups will go on display alongside the rest of the pack in a public art trail lasting for ten weeks from this September.

The Snowdogs: Tails in Wales learning programme is kindly sponsored by Acorns Nurseries, and the children were very excited when their Snowpups arrived earlier this week. Watch our video to see their reactions and their colourful suggestions for what to call the new arrivals!
