It’s Mohamed…trying again to raise some money for Tŷ Hafan so they can support lots more children and their families.
This time with the help of Gareth in the Community Team…he’s bonkers…I shaved my hair off as you can see, from ‘wild afro which took me ages to grow, too short back and sides’ in minutes.
If I can give another child the chance to receive the same love, support and memories that I have from the wonderful staff at the hospice, it was all worth it.
With lots of help and support from Shirley who is my lovely Family Support Practitioner, I am now in college and have lots of friends. I still love coming back to Tŷ Hafan and meeting all the crazy staff who give me a warm welcome. It’s like I have never been out of their thoughts or hearts.
My hand print on the hospice wall was the beginning of my Tŷ Hafan journey where I met lots of people along the way. Sadly some of them have passed away, but their faces are stored in my memory so they will never be forgotten.
I know how lonely, sad and afraid you can be when you’re very ill, but I was lucky enough to have Tŷ Hafan staff by my side and a hospice to welcome us. They were there for me and my parents during the good and bad times of my illness and they continue to support us now.
I know times are hard for everyone but can I ask you kindly to look with your hearts and support me in my efforts to raise money for other life-limiting children and young people like myself… so they too can start their journey of memories at the hospice.

A heartfelt thank you
