tinsel ar y goeden, seren yn y nen

Cardiff-based Welsh greeting card and gift company Draenog has launched a new Christmas jumper for 2019 with 10% of proceeds raised donated to Tŷ Hafan.

The jumpers are printed in Cardiff and feature a festive gold print on a dark grey sweatshirt. The design reads ‘Tinsel ar y goeden, Seren yn y nen’ (Tinsel on the tree, a star in the sky) and are the lyrics from the very popular Welsh Christmas song ‘Nadolig? Pwy a Ŵyr?! by Ryan Davies.

Anwen Roberts is the owner and designer of Draenog and chose to support Tŷ Hafan because of the invaluable work that they do supporting young people and families in Wales.

Draenog specialise in creating modern Welsh cards. The jumper design is also available on Christmas cards, and it was a conversation with a customer that sparked the idea of using the design on Christmas jumpers.

The response to the jumpers has been incredible so far, with over 150 selling in the first week! We’re hoping to continue to sell many more jumpers from now until Christmas and raise money for Tŷ Hafan.

Remember to share photos of you wearing your Christmas jumper and tag Tŷ Hafan and Draenog to spread the message on social media!

This is the perfect Welsh Christmas jumper to wear on 13 December, which is Christmas jumper day!

The jumpers are available in adult and children’s sizes and are available to order from the Draenog website
