youngster’s birthday fundraiser

written by Ellis

My name is Ellis and for my 10th birthday party I planned a pool party for my class in school. As I usually have lots of presents from friends and family for my birthday, I thought it would be a good idea to donate some money instead of having presents this year.

written by Paul Fears

Since the Women's Institute's Calendar Girls, hundreds of charity calendars are released each year.  To make this work, we realised that we needed to be slightly different.

dads bare all

The calendar came about after a conversation I had with one of our dads, Paul Fears, who is also the photographer on the project. It was a project that we both wanted to do but it was finding the right concept that was important.

I first became aware of Tŷ Hafan about 12 years ago. The landlord of my local pub in Blackwood used to run fundraising events for the hospice.

grab your trainers and sign up for the cardiff half!

written by Helen Young

So for years I have toyed with the idea of attempting to ‘run’ the Cardiff Half Marathon and for years I have put it off with always a great excuse: too  busy, ‘there’s always next year’ attitude, getting pregnant and having Jack (that’s at least two years out, right?).
