Hounds for PoundsSunday 5 August 2012
Margam Country Park
Sponsored family dog walk and doggy fun day!!
Thank you to those who took part in our sponsored dog walk and doggy fun day! We hope you enjoyed your day.
Photos from the day:
We had fun competitions and stalls on the day from groomers to pet supplies which was a great opportunity for families and friends to get to know their hound better, enjoy some quality time and maybe win a prize or two.
In the afternoon we had an agility demonstration from Blue Ridge Canine Academy based in the Vale of Glamorgan who demonstrated beginner/intermediate and competition levels of agility. The best bit was that everyone was able to have a go with their own pooch and test their agility skills or learn some new ones. The Academy was also on hand to offer dog training advice.

We all consider our dogs to be part of the family, enjoying the companionship, loyalty and down right stupidity of our furry four legged friends. Whether they are barking at the imaginary intruder or simply chasing their own tails wearing your carpet out, you love them in good times and in bad. There’s little you wouldn’t do for your pooch!
Sound familiar? We all love enjoying the good times with our family members and we would do almost anything for them in those times of need that happen once in a blue moon.

Families using Tŷ Hafan’s care service have to cope with their life-limited children being in need all of the time and their devotion never stops. They do this without question or complaint; yet none of them are superhuman and it puts a massive strain on their own health and family life. Tŷ Hafan is often considered as part of their family, sometimes described as their “life line” offering comfort, care and support for free, where and whenever it is needed.
By raising sponsorship to take part in Hounds for Pounds you will ensure that Tŷ Hafan is there for the many families in your local area.
