Sam Brown


Sam is firstly a mum to her 19 year old daughter. Although her family is originally from the north of England, she has lived in South Wales for over 30 years. She went to Cowbridge Comprehensive School and graduated from Surrey University, attending St May’s College in Twickenham, where she obtained an honours degree in Medieval History and Sociology. Sam also has a postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management. Her career to date has been focused in the area of Customer Service and she has over 27 years’ experience working across the energy and hospitality industry at all levels.

Sam is a local girl who has lived in Barry for the last 16 years. She has always admired the work undertaken by Tŷ Hafan. She helped to fundraise to support the building of the hospice in the 1990s when she met Suzanne Goodall.

“I was thrilled when I was appointed as a Tŷ Hafan trustee – the quality of care and support provided by the staff is inspiring and continuously reaffirms what Tŷ Hafan stands for in our community in Wales. I am so very proud to be a part of it”.
