Short break care

Our short break care can give you that well-deserved break. You don't have to worry about looking after your life-limited child. We will deal with the medications, the feeding, the washing, the lifting and we will identify ways in which we can help your child learn, communicate and be stimulated through play, activities and therapy. We make sure that they have a good time whilst addressing their individual needs.

Your whole family is taken into consideration when assessing your individual need for short break care. This is provided by qualified and experienced staff, including nurses, therapists, social workers and play practitioners who deliver specialist care for your child.

Coming to the Tŷ Hafan hospice for short break care enables your child to enjoy social interactions and leisure facilities, supports you in the care of your child and helps siblings to have fun. In some cases your child could stay on their own, in others the whole family could stay all together.
