Voices for Hospices
Voices for Hospices is a wave of simultaneous concerts around the globe which takes place on World Hospice and Palliative Care Day every two years. The objective of the event is to use the voice to raise funds and awareness for hospices and palliative care.
These events could be concerts from any musical genre, poetry events, drama evenings or spoken word.
The next event will take place on 8 October 2011 and you could be part of it!
We’ve got plenty of fundraising ideas to help you celebrate Voices for Hospices day and help raise funds for Tŷ Hafan!
- Schools - organise a school choir concert, a battle of the bands or a sponsored story telling day!
- Business - Have a karaoke in the staff canteen - people pay to sing, organise a comedy night or a "Poems and pints" night at your local pub.
- Groups and Organisations - Churches/ Gymanfa Ganu, Youth group / talent show.
The possibilities are endless in fact anything which involves "a voice" could be turned into a fundraiser, you can be as creative as you like!
