Volunteering is a great way to gain experience and show your support for the life-limited children and young people who rely on Tŷ Hafan.

From time to time we'll post volunteer opportunities for specific volunteering roles. You can register your interest as a volunteer if no volunteer opportunities are listed below.

Current volunteer opportunities

PR Volunteer

Start: Immediately
Hours: Approximately sixteen hours per month.

Description
The role comprises of assisting the PR Manager in the initial drafting of press releases covering all aspects of care and fundraising for distribution to regional broadcast and print media.

It also requires the volunteer to work with the PR Manager in drafting short articles for Tŷ Hafan’s newsletters, maintaining a database of media / journalist contacts and assistance with the compilation of monthly media coverage reports.

Multimedia Volunteer

Start: Immediately
Hours: Approximately ten hours per month.

Description

The Multimedia volunteer will assume the role of developing video content for Tŷ Hafan in conjunction with the Mutlimedia Manager. This will include filming at events, conducting interviews and capturing video content for specific website projects/purposes.

The Multimedia volunteer will also be expected to edit video footage to produce short engaging clips. The volunteer will be required to travel to event locations, therefore your own transport is essential.

You will be reimbursed for your fuel expenses. You will be required to work occasionally on weekends and outside of normal working hours to capture footage of events.

This represents an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a media related field that touches on many disciplines.
