1 April 2012 - 10000k Challenge

John Chick will attempt to cycle the 10,000 kilometres from the Welsh capital, Cardiff, to the Turkish capital, Istanbul (and back!) and raising a magnificent £10,000 for two Welsh charities.

Saturday 19 May - Pembrokeshire Coast Walk

Friday, 15 June Concert at St Helen's Church, Caerphilly 

Aber Male Voice Choir are holding a concert at St Helen's Church in Caerphilly to celebrate 30 years together. Proceeds from this concert will be donated to Tŷ Hafan.

Sunday 1 July - Ty Hafan Ride Out

A group of keen motor bikers are riding from Ty Hafan Hospice to Western Super-Mare in aid of Ty Hafan. To take part a donation of £10.00 per rider or £15.00 per pillion/trike must be made, all proceeds to Ty Hafan. Learners are welcome as the route will be the old route to Weston Super-Mare.

Saturday 14 July - Marston Group Walkathon

Marston Group Ltd are organising a Walkathon in aid of Ty Hafan. The walk will take place over 9 miles of tough terrained hills with several challenges along the way, including 1 full mile of walking backwards!
We would like to wish you all the best of luck with your walk and fundraising.

DVD on Barry Island

Support Ty Hafan by purchasing this award winning documentary on Barry Island, available from Marco's Cafe, Fun Harbour and other local stores in Barry and on Barry Island. This documentary tells the story of Barry Island and explores its history and its slow demise in modern times. It’s a place that is now known as the home of Gavin and Stacey, but it used to entertain thousands of tourists with its clean beaches, Pleasure Park, and Butlins Holiday Camp. This used to be a holiday resort, where has it gone?
