Ty Hafan

handcrafted volunteering at tŷ hafan

Staff engagement can be challenging but you can demonstrate the impact of your charitable investments, and motivate your employees, with one of our volunteer opportunities.

handcrafted engagement

Tŷ Hafan is such a tangible charity that your employees and stakeholders are able to see and experience the positive impact of our hospice and care services first-hand while directly participating in contributing to our mission.

Supporting an iconic Welsh charity, and knowing the impact their time and efforts will have on helping life-limited children, will be a rewarding experience for your teams.

We can support your corporate social responsibility agenda but, more importantly, you can come and have fun with us.

Upcycling Corporate Engagement

corporate engagementExplore your artistic side by engaging in this unique volunteer programme designed to get you out of the office and explore your creative abilities, while helping to raise vital funds for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Join our enthusiastic Project Manager making beautiful upcycled products to be sold in our Tŷ Hafan shops, such as bunting, wooden stencilled signs, dog beds and hand-painted furniture. Pick up new skills and get the most out of a fun and creative experience.

Based in Sully, our upcycling workshop overlooks the Bristol Channel, so after the important business of putting the kettle on, you’ll have a welcoming chat and a chance to take in the fantastic sea views. Then it’s onto the real business of painting, waxing, cutting, sticking and sewing!

What more could you want? Tea and biscuits, a chat, sea views and the chance to help make something truly unique which will be sold, raising money to help the children and families who rely on Tŷ Hafan’s support.

Testimonials

“It was good to see behind the scenes of how a large charity raises revenue and also do a little bit to help. It was also good to see colleagues in a different environment and work with them there. I learnt more about my colleagues stood next to them painting for an hour than I have learnt in sitting next to them in work for 6 months”

“Team building – Great to work with colleagues in a different environment learning new skills supporting a local charity Tŷ Hafan”

“Lovely afternoon, great to spend time with colleagues from other areas whilst helping the charity. Great for staff wellbeing”

“We were all amazed as to what can be upcycled with items that may be thrown away – learning different techniques so the end products can then be sold”

“A lovely chance to bond with team-mates and have fun while supporting Handcrafted by Tŷ Hafan”

“We had an absolutely fab day, and know we are contributing to Tŷ Hafan and changing children & families lives. We left feeling creative, inspired and relaxed, was a great day away from the office and we will be spreading the word!”
