Tŷ Hafan is launching its 15 year tea party appeal at its annual Family Fun Day this Sunday (29 June).
Tŷ Hafan’s grounds in Hayes Road, Sully, will be transformed into an Alice in Wonderland-themed wonderland from 12-5pm, with a fairground, food tent, craft stalls, live entertainment and much more.
The Alice in Wonderland theme, chosen to represent the first event held at Tŷ Hafan when it started in 1999, includes a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, a wishing tree a white rabbit and a rabbit hole!
Visitors can find out about Tŷ Hafan’s tea party campaign at the Fun Day, which has been launched to mark the charity’s 15 year anniversary
Emily Fradd, of Tŷ Hafan, said: “Bring your family, friends and colleagues to join Tŷ Hafan through the looking glass, where the impossible is possible and not everything is as it seems. Try to spot the white rabbit, gaze in wonder at our street artists, enjoy the show at the main stage and visit the face painter for your very own wonderland transformation before treating yourself to a well-deserved break in the Mad Hatter’s refreshments marquee.
“Whether you’re already a supporter, would like to learn more about our tea party appeal or simply looking for a fun day out, make your way to Tŷ Hafan and see what lies in wait down the rabbit hole!”
The Fun Day also offers the public an opportunity to be guided around the hospice to see the amazing facilities and understand why children and families simply love to visit for short break care.
All proceeds from the day will go towards Tŷ Hafan, the family hospice for young lives.
