Last week, Andy from Extreme Adventure brought one of their fantastic foam cannons to the hospice so we could test drive Bubble Rush Cardiff for you all!
We invited a number of our families for a foamy fiesta and to see what’s in store for the people of Cardiff this June.
There were smiles all around and shrieks of joy could be heard all around as we dove through the massive bubble bath that took over the lawn of the hospice. In fact, it was impossible to just stand and watch as others were getting in a lather, having all the fun! Eventually, we had around 50 people, including families, guests and members of staff, all joining in (even if some needed a bit more encouragement than others)!
Enjoy this video of the fun we had and be sure not to miss the frothy fun and soapy shenanigans in June!
In this brand new event that will take place in Cardiff’s Cooper’s Field on 16 June, participants can run, jog, walk, dance or toddle through a 5 km course, passing through four Bubble Stations where cannons pump out coloured foam to create a 4ft deep bubble bath. The events are not timed, every course is family friendly, pushchairs and wheelchairs are more than welcome and everyone gets a medal at the end.
“Excitement is bubbling up around this event, and we’re looking for participants who can be the very first to find out there’s no place like foam whilst at the same time raising vital funds to support children with life-limiting conditions”, said Jodie Harris, Events Manager at Tŷ Hafan.
“This event is all about creating magical memories with your family and friends, just like the ones that get created at Tŷ Hafan for our families. Each year more families are turning to us for care and support than ever before. We need to ensure we can keep raising funds to meet the growing need on our hospice.
