Convey Law is one of the largest specialist legal conveyancing companies in the UK. Acting for a wide range of discerning private clients and a range of corporate introducers of businesses, including estate agency chains, mortgage lenders and mortgage broker networks.

The company approached Tŷ Hafan in 2010 to discuss how best they could support our work. As part of this process, we invited Convey Law’s managing director, Lloyd Davies, to visit our hospice to experience first hand what Tŷ Hafan does. 

Inspired by this visit, Convey Law has so far raised an incredible £100,582 to support Tŷ Hafan. Their partnership with Tŷ Hafan has also played a key role in promoting team building following a staff restructure and generated excellent PR for the company.

An innovative way that Convey Law has encouraged their clients to get involved in the partnership is by organising a free legal fee competition that raises money for Tŷ Hafan.

Launched in 1993, Admiral offers wide range of insurance products, including car insurance, life insurance, home insurance and travel insurance. It has offices in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport.

Admiral chose to support Tŷ Hafan as their charity of the year for 12 months and found internal communications were key to making the partnership work. 

This included sending regular updates to employees about Tŷ Hafan’s work, fundraising successes and the company’s fundraising target.

Working with their account manager, Admiral planned key fundraising events throughout the partnership that were linked to key dates in the year, such as Christmas, Easter and Valentine’s Day.

 Established as a family partnership in 1984, Castleoak built their first care home in 1987 and have worked exclusively in the care sector since 1996.

After agreeing to become one of our corporate partners, Castleoak pledged to raise £100,000 for Tŷ Hafan over two years. A key to their success so far has been planning a calendar of events to maintain focus and keep staff motivated.

Gaining sponsorship from suppliers they work with has also proved invaluable. This led to £15,000 being raised by the company’s 1000 Miles for Smiles bike ride. 

Another success was the creation of a My favourite things cookbook, which featured recipes from employees and celebrities. Plus, children supported by Tŷ Hafan illustrated the cookbook.



Dunbia is a leading and innovative supplier of high-quality red meat products for the local, national and international retail, commercial and food service markets.

The company chose to support Tŷ Hafan as their preferred charity for 18 months. After an initial presentation from their dedicated Tŷ Hafan account manager, they pledged to raise £10,000 during our partnership. 

This overall fundraising target proved particularly beneficial in encouraging staff to get involved in fundraising activities, as it gave them a clear goal to aim for.

A calendar of activity was also agreed, which included two key events: a fashion show and a black-tie ball and auction. The fashion show at Lampeter University was a great success and raised over £2,500.

Dunbia continue to put lots of effort into their fundraising and have so far raised a fantastic £23,241 to support Tŷ Hafan’s services.
