1. Check your donations
We couldn’t provide our wide range of life-changing services without our supporters generously donating items to us. However, it’s important that all the furniture we receive ticks the right boxes.
So, please make sure:
- Any upholstered furniture has a fire safety label attached to it.
- All items feature no major damage.
- All items are complete.
- All items function properly.
- You don’t donate large wall units, for safety reasons.
Simply use our online furniture collection form to provide us with your personal details. One of our members of staff will then contact you to discuss the furniture you’re looking to donate.
If you’re looking to donate upholstered furniture, they’ll also ask you to send them a photo of the fire safety label on your item.
3. Boost your donation with Gift Aid
When you complete our online collection form, don’t forget to let us know if you want to boost the value of your furniture donation by a huge 25%. This is something super simple that you can do to help Tŷ Hafan reach and support more children with life-shortening illnesses in Wales.
4. We collect
If our member of staff decides your items are good to go, we’ll come and collect them on a Monday or Thursday that works for you. Nearer the time, we’ll also provide you with a timeslot so you know when we’ll be popping by.
5. Feel super proud
Donating unwanted furniture is a wonderful way to support the life-changing work of Tŷ Hafan. We’ll use every penny we receive from the sale of your items to provide the best possible care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families.
