Throughout the year, there are loads of fantastic fundraising events you can get involved in to support the life-changing work of Tŷ Hafan.
You could take part in an official Tŷ Hafan event such as Ride to the Rugby, conquer a challenge event in the UK or overseas, or organise your own slice of fun to raise money – something our fundraising toolkit is here to help you out with.
So take a look around and see if anything grabs your fancy. And remember that whatever you do, it will help to bring comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families.
The annual Barry Island New Years Day Dip has been going for 36 years, originally organised by the Whitmore Bay lifeguards in 1984 and growing in size ever since. 2021 will be the third year that Tŷ Hafan have run this fantastic event! Blow away the cobwebs on New Year’s Day with a dip in the sea at the famous Barry Island and help to raise vital funds for Tŷ Hafan!
Ride to the Rugby is a four day, 280 mile cycling challenge leaving from the Principality Stadium Cardiff and arriving at the Aviva Stadium to see Wales kick off against Ireland on Saturday 8 February 2020

Are you looking for a life-changing challenge? Trek from Siem Reap to Angkor Wat in Cambodia and raise money for Tŷ Hafan. The trek from Siem Reap to Angkor Wat will be a nine day trip with five days of trekking a distance of 79km.
The ABP Newport Wales Marathon is a national marathon for Wales, boasting a fast, scenic route – arguably one of the UK’s flattest marathons.

Gather your team of four walkers and a designated driver and be a part of the 22nd annual welsh3peaks challenge - it promises to be a challenging and unforgettable experience! You will tackle the highest peaks in north, mid and south Wales - the mighty Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen–Y-Fan, all within 15 hours!
The multi-award winning JCP Swansea Half Marathon will return on Sunday 14 June 2020. Voted the UK's best half marathon (2017 and 2018) and Wales' biggest and best summer half marathon. Tŷ Hafan has a close connection to Swansea, having supported 89 children and their families since 1999.
The Family Fun Day returns on Saturday 1 August, taking place on our beautiful grounds in Sully, Vale of Glamorgan. This very popular annual event includes amazing activities, cool craft stalls, a fabulous fun fair, tasty street food, and fantastic stage performances from dance groups, choirs and bands – fun for all the family! Sun, sea, and sand provide the backdrop to the Barry Island 10K – which brings a summertime festival of running to the popular seaside resort with a 10K race and family fun run. A firm favourite with runners – renowned for it’s varied and scenic route, unbeatable crowd support and feel-good atmosphere.

Tread and Trail is a testing BIKE and HIKE challenge, braving the great Brecon Beacon roads on two wheels and conquering the iconic Pen Y Fan on foot (via the lesser known and more dramatic Cwm Gwdi trail)! The Cardiff University / Cardiff Half Marathon returns on Sunday 4 October 2020. From its inception in 2003, the event has grown into one of the largest road races in the United Kingdom and encompasses many of Cardiff’s most iconic landmarks.
Put on your best red carpet attire and join us for the Ty Hafan annual ball - a magical evening of spectacular entertainment, gourmet dining and fantastic fundraising.
