A second planning application for storage has recently been submitted to the Vale of Glamorgan Council by the owner of the plot of land which lies directly between Tŷ Hafan  and Beechwood College.

This application is for a 0.98 hectare area to provide storage for an unspecified number of caravans and motorhomes. Click here to view this planning application in full.

On Monday 25 September members of the ‘Protect Tŷ Hafan’s Peace’ independent campaign group, set up and led by a group of bereaved parents and family members, met with Vale Council Leader Lis Burnett ahead of that afternoon’s full council meeting to hand in the ‘Say No!!! To Holiday Park being set up next to Tŷ Hafan and Beechwood Centre’ petition.

This petition, which now has 14,000 signatures, was set up by Karen Maidment, whose grandson Jayden, died aged 10 months old. Jayden was cared for by Tŷ Hafan and Karen and her family continue to be supported by the children’s hospice.

The next meeting of the Vale of Glamorgan Planning Committee is scheduled to take place on Thursday 26 October at 4pm. Click here for more details of this meeting.
