Working at Ty Hafan has helped me a great deal with my anxiety to the extent that I no longer receive counselling. I work with a great bunch of people who accepted me for who I am. Becoming one of our brilliant volunteers is super simple and doesn’t take long at all. All you need to do is follow these four steps.
Take a look at our current vacancies and choose a role you’re interested in. Don’t forget, you can select more than one role if you wish to.
Fill in the online form linked to the roles you’re interested in. This typically should take you about five minutes and be straightforward.
After we’ve looked at your application, we’ll get in touch and talk in more detail about the role you’ve applied for and anything else we need from you.
Once we’re happy with any extra information we’ve requested, and you’re happy to start your role, your volunteering journey can begin. Hoorah!
We have a range of roles at our Tŷ Hafan shops across Wales. These include retail assistants who serve customers, as well as volunteers who sort through donations, stock shelves and create window displays.
At our welcoming head office in Sully, you can develop new skills and gain valuable work experience. Voluntary roles we offer include receptionist, office administrator, lottery assistant and crafts volunteer.
From managing collection boxes in your local area, to picking up and delivering furniture to our shops, to helping out at one of our great events, we have many great community volunteer roles to choose from.
We can create bespoke volunteering projects that use your team’s skills and experience, or your employees can get involved in more regular volunteering activities, such as our Charity Shop Challenge.
However, your staff members volunteer, we promise they’ll have a rewarding time, learn some new skills and feel more connected to each other because of their Tŷ Hafan experience.
As well as working with children as a play worker, you can volunteer at our hospice in a number of other ways. These include tending to our beautiful gardens, working in our kitchen and maintaining our hospice building.
Volunteering in one of our Family Support Volunteer roles is a rewarding and flexible way to provide practical support to families in their own environment. You will be matched with a family based on your skills, availability and location, and you will receive comprehensive training as well as ongoing supervision from our experienced staff.
Our volunteer ambassadors play a crucial role in raising awareness of Tŷ Hafan’s life-changing services and attracting new people to support our vital work.
