End-of-life care

We’ll make sure your child and your family receive the practical, emotional and spiritual support you need at the end of your child’s life.

We can provide expert end-of-life care in our hospice and at a hospital, as well as compassionate non-clinical support at your home, if you decide that’s the best place for your child.

How we can support you

We understand how difficult it is to have conversations about end-of-life care. But sensitively and respectfully, our care and family support teams can work with you to plan the very best end-of-life care for your child and your family.

Expert advice

We can provide expert advice, guidance and support to help you decide where your child should be cared for at the end of their life.

We’ll work with you to assess the needs of every member of your family to make sure you all feel supported and involved in the care of your child in a way that’s right for you.

Experienced team

Our care team is experienced in managing complex symptoms and will work closely with your child’s medical and nursing team to make sure all their symptoms are under control when they reach the end of their life.

We can help each member of your family capture precious memories with your child, giving them something to treasure for the rest of their lives.

Bereavement support

At the time of your child’s death, we can provide comfort and support to help your family. We also offer bereavement support for however long it’s needed.

We’re now living in the hospice, waiting for that moment. I can’t imagine being anywhere else. We agreed as part of Archie’s care plan that we would like him to pass here and it’s the best decision we have made.

- Brad

We were able to have a celebration of Ieuan’s life at the hospice and about 80 of our family and friends attended, sharing our love, memories and achievements of our boy. It was truly special.

- Tracey

My child passed away in hospital but came back to the hospice. To have that time, the peace, the quiet, was amazing. We were looked after. They are gentle people who know what to say to make you feel good at a bad time.
