Why your support is needed so much

Every year, we need to raise £5.6 million to run our hospice and provide our essential outreach services in communities in Wales.

This is something we’re only able to do because of the kindness and generosity of our wonderful supporters, including our major donors.

By becoming one of our major donors, you’ll help us provide specialist care and support to families who often have no one else to turn to.

You’ll also be supported by a dedicated major donor expert who will work closely with you to create a mutually rewarding partnership.

Give a financial donation

Giving a gift of £5,000 and above is a truly special way to help make short lives full lives.

Straightaway, we’ll start to use your generous donation to reach and support more families in Wales who could benefit from our short break care, emotional support and other vital services.

Give a gift of shares

Donating your shares to Tŷ Hafan is one of the most tax-effective ways you can give, as you won’t pay capital gains tax on the shares you donate.

If you pay income tax at 40% or 45%, you’ll also be able to claim income tax relief equal to 40% or 45% of the value of your gift, depending on which rate of tax you pay.

A mutually rewarding partnership

We believe it’s incredibly important that our major donors feel totally connected to Tŷ Hafan and the children and families we care for. Our recognition and reward programme for major donors includes:

Events where you can meet members of our senior team and care professionals who make such an important difference in the lives of the children we support.
Personalised visits to our hospice. This gives you the chance to see first-hand our facilities and services and the impact your kindness and generosity is having on young lives.

How we’ll put your vital support to work

If you do decide to make a donation, this is how we may use your generosity to change lives.

£6,000

could pay for our 24-hour telephone support service for six months, ensuring we’re always there when families need us.

£15,000

could fund one year of music therapy sessions that offer children emotional support, escapism, relaxation and a way of expressing themselves.

£125,000

could pay for 10 days of expert medical care and support at our hospice for many families.
