Become a Community Ambassador

Our ambition is to reach every life-limited child and their family in Wales who needs our support.

To do this, we need people from all backgrounds to raise awareness of Tŷ Hafan and boost fundraising within communities throughout Wales.

What sort of things does a Community Ambassador do?

  • Coordinates fundraising collections
  • Recruits supporters and volunteers
  • Gives presentations to community groups
  • Gives talks at schools
  • Builds relationships with local businesses
  • Attends cheque presentations and local events
  • Seeks out fundraising opportunities

What skills do I need?

Ideally, a Community Ambassador needs the following skills, although we will train and support you so you feel confident in your role:

  • A good knowledge of your local area, including businesses and community groups
  • An ability to communicate confidently with individuals and groups
  • Lots of energy and willingness to use your own initiative to get results

 

How much time do I need to give?

As much or as little as you want. We’ll work closely with you to maximise any time that you can give.
