“The first of June marks the first day of Volunteers’ Week 2023, where organisations across the UK celebrate, thank and recognize their volunteers for the fantastic contributions they make to their communities.
“At Tŷ Hafan, we have more than 500 volunteers across Wales who, between them, have donated over 40,000 hours of their time over the last year alone.
“Whether you volunteer in our head office, our hospice, as a Trustee or out in the community, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the incredible work you do.
“Having you as a volunteer is one of our greatest privileges, and we hope the good work you do is returned to you many times over.
“Thank you for being such an integral part of the Tŷ Hafan team and helping us to achieve our mission.
“One of the themes of this year’s Volunteers’ Week is to inspire others to volunteer, so I would also like to take a moment to reach out to those who are maybe considering volunteering now, or some day in the future.
“We encourage you to take a look at our volunteering pages and consider the many fantastic volunteering opportunities we currently have available.
“From volunteering in our shops or at events to volunteering alongside our care teams and support services, your support would mean a great deal to the children and families of Wales who need us.
“Finally, on behalf of myself, my colleagues, our supporters and the children and families we work with, thank you and have a lovely week celebrating you!”
