Payroll giving

Payroll Giving is a simple, tax-free way you can give regular gifts to help transform the lives of children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

All you need to do is sign up to the scheme and your chosen monthly gift will be sent directly to TÅ· Hafan from your salary.

How does payroll giving work?

Payroll Giving (also known as Give As You Earn and workplace giving) is a scheme run by your employer. It allows you to give regular gifts to a charity, such as TÅ· Hafan, through your salary.

It’s a popular way to give because your gifts are taken from your salary before you pay tax, making it super tax-effective.

For example, if you pay a basic income tax rate of 20% and pledge to donate £10, only £8 will be deducted from your net salary (ie your take-home pay after taxes and any other deductions).

If you pay a high-income tax rate of 40% and pledge to donate £10, only £6 will be deducted from your net salary.

What are the benefits for me?

It’s super simple

Payroll Giving is easy to set up and your gift is automatically taken every month.

Pay less to give more

It’s the only way to give that allows full tax relief on all donations.

You’re changing lives

Your gifts provide us with reliable support that’s used to fund our services.

What are the benefits for TÅ· Hafan?

It’s a reliable income

Payroll Giving provides us with a regular income that allows us to plan and budget for the future.

Doubled donations

Sometimes employers decide to match their employees’ donations, which means we benefit even more.

What if I change jobs or retire?

If you change jobs, your Payroll Giving scheme will stop automatically. So, please make sure you ask your new employer if they have a scheme in place so you can continue to support our life-changing services.

If you’re looking to retire, please speak to your employer about your Payroll Giving. Some employers run the scheme through pensions, allowing people to support a charity in this way after they’ve retired.
