Poetry fans are in for a real treat this weekend with the chance to enjoy readings from Tŷ Hafan’s poetry anthology Where the Birds Sing Our Names – and all free of charge.
Anthology editor Professor Tony Curtis will be joined by fellow poets Rhian Edwards, Jonathan Edwards and Chris Meredith to read from Where the Birds Sing Our Names, at Abergavenny Writing Festival, this Saturday, 22 April.
The session will will take place in the Melville Centre for the Arts, Abergavenny, NP7 5UD and will start at 3.30pm. Admission is free of charge although poetry lovers are advised to pre-book spaces here to avoid disappointment.
All the poems in Where the Birds Sing Our Names are about childhood, parenting and birds, and the anthology has been published in support of Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice. All the proceeds of sales of the book go directly to Tŷ Hafan and copies will be on sale at the reading.
