The iconic London Marathon took place on Sunday 23rd April this year and we were blown away by the incredible determination of all the runners – not least those running in support of Tŷ Hafan!

Those running for us on the day were Phil Rees, Elin Jones, Chris Brace, Nic Masterson, Christopher Budding and James Richards.

Emma Simpson had to drop out of the race because of an injury, but she still raised £155 for us. Thanks, Emma! And we wish you a speedy recovery!

Rhys Tom Williams raised £135 for Tŷ Hafan before he sadly passed away in March. We are deeply saddened by Rhys Tom’s death and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family.

Rhys Tom’s loved ones have set up a tribute to him through Much Loved, with donations in his memory going to Tŷ Hafan. You can leave a tribute to Rhys Tom and donate in his memory here

In total (so far!) these amazing supporters have raised £13,335 for Tŷ Hafan through their London Marathon fundraising. That’s an incredible sum and will go a long way in supporting children with life-shortening condition in Wales and their families.

To put their fundraising into perspective, £1,000 is the cost of the medical supplies at our hospice every month. So, this year’s London Marathon runners have raised enough money to pay for the medical supplies Tŷ Hafan needs for more than a year!

Thank you all.
