Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice is calling on kind-hearted individuals across South Wales to don the red suit or a pair of pointy ears and spread festive cheer by volunteering as Santa or one of his elves this Christmas.

Whether you’re a seasoned Father Christmas or someone who loves bringing smiles to children’s faces, Tŷ Hafan needs your help to make this season unforgettable.

Tŷ Hafan’s volunteer Santas and elves will be helping to put smiles on children’s faces at the charity’s Santa’s Grotto in Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland on weekends from Saturday 29th November until Sunday 21st December – helping to raise vital funds so that no family has to live their child’s short life alone.

Claire Horrex, Community Fundraising Manager at Tŷ Hafan, said: “We’re looking for jolly, warm-hearted volunteers who can help us bring the magic of Christmas to life for children and families who will be visiting our new Santa’s Grotto in Winter Wonderland in the centre of Cardiff.

“Every ho-ho-ho and twinkle in the eye will help us raise awareness and support for families going through the toughest times. If you have been Santa already then so, so, so much the better (sorry!).

“And you’ll you need is a big heart, a warm smile, and a willingness to spread joy, as well as either living local to Cardiff or a willingness to travel.”

Costumes and full training will be provided and flexible shifts are available to suit all schedules.

To join Tŷ Hafan’s Santa’s squad or become an elf go to Christmas Volunteers – Ty Hafan or email christmas@tyhafan.org to sign up today.
