TÅ· Hafan children’s hospice

Being there through life, death and beyond.

About us Test (ft. values)

No parent ever imagines that their child will die before them, but this is the unthinkable reality that thousands of families in Wales are faced with every day.

Our ambition

When a child will have a short life, they and their family endure a daily struggle, often without adequate care and support. We dream of a Wales where no family walks this path alone, frightened and isolated.

Our ambition is simple: every child should have access to essential services exactly when and where they need them. Tŷ Hafan believes in a Wales where families have the power to choose the care and support that suits them best.

Join us in turning this vision into reality. Together, let’s make sure that no family faces the unimaginable loss of a child without the care and compassion they deserve.

We can’t stop seriously unwell children dying, but with your help, we can make sure that no family faces the death of their child alone.

Imagine a Wales where every child has access to the services they need, were they need them and when they need them. A Wales where families have a choice about the care and support they receive. At Tŷ Hafan, we don’t just imagine this Wales. We believe in it.

What we do

In our hospice, and in Welsh communities and family homes, we are here to care for the children who need us, helping to make their short life a happy life and, when the time comes, provide end-of-life care for seriously unwell children and young people.

Our specialist support also extends to parents, siblings and other family members, offering personalised care to give them strength, make treasured memories together and improve their quality of life.

Our values

Our values are at the heart of everything we do at TÅ· Hafan. They ensure we are doing the right thing in the right way, inspiring us all to be the best we can be and make a difference for the children and families we support.

We make a difference by…

  • Demonstrating compassion
We show empathy and respect to all, making time to listen to, and support, others.
  • Providing excellent service
We take pride in delivering on our commitments and are proactive in continuously improving our services.
  • Working together
We are one team, we consciously collaborate and enable each other to contribute to Our Purpose.
  • Taking ownership
We trust each other to deliver and are responsible for our own actions, seeking way to reflect and learn.
