Double your donations 23rd – 25th November!

We really need your help. Tŷ Hafan needs to raise £400,000 to continue being a lifeline to families whose child’s life will be short.

Every donation to our ‘Every Precious Life’ appeal between 10am on 23rd and 10pm on 25th November, will be doubled thanks to our generous match-funders!

Gwenno and Emrys

The number of newborns referred to TÅ· Hafan has more than doubled in a year

Today thousands of families in Wales live with the unimaginable knowledge that their child is going to die. That number keeps growing and we only have enough money to reach 1 in 10 of them. We all must do more.

This appeal raises vital funds to give families specialist support through their child’s life, death and beyond. From the heartbreaking moment they learn they must say goodbye, to making precious memories during their child’s short life.

Hear from our families

As part of our campaign, we’re proud to share the heartfelt stories of incredible families who have been impacted by the support of Tŷ Hafan. Each story is a powerful reminder of the vital role your donations play in providing care and support to families like these.

Emrys’ story

We knew what was ahead for Emrys. We could have tried to buy more time, but that wouldn’t have been fair on Emrys.

Our family came to the hospital. Everyone had the opportunity to hold him. All the tubes were taken away. We saw his beautiful face without any tubes for the first time.

We just had time with him then. Just the two of us with Emrys, chatting, reading to him and singing him to sleep for the very last time.

Tommy’s story

I never really thought Tommy would be gone. I always thought: ‘No, this is going to be OK. This is just something that we have to go through. It’s horrific. But he’ll be OK.’

“The thing with losing a baby like we lost Tommy is that most of my friends and family have never met him. They only know what I speak of him. But with Kirsty and TÅ· Hafan there is that emotional connection and shared memories and that is so powerful.”
