When you start at Tŷ Hafan, you’ll have an induction plan that’s tailored for your new role. This will help you to settle into your position and work at Tŷ Hafan.

You’ll also be invited to a welcome event, where you’ll meet other new employees and hear from representatives from different parts of the charity.

If you’re joining our care team, you’ll also have a set period of supernumerary status. This means you’ll not be a member of staff straight away and instead have placements to learn and practise skills safely, as well as gain confidence.

You’ll be fully supported during this time by different mentors, who will buddy up with you on a weekly basis. You’ll also be assessed against a set of work-based competencies. This will determine if you can start providing one-to-one care.
