Volunteering at Tŷ Hafan has helped me a great deal with my anxiety to the extent that I no longer receive counselling. I work with a great bunch of people who accepted me for who I am. The staff who I have met are welcoming and so friendly. Whether you’re chatting with customers as a retail assistant, uncovering hidden gems in donated items, stocking shelves with care, or getting creative with eye-catching window displays, every task helps make a short life a full life. Join us and bring energy, creativity, and compassion to your local community.
At our welcoming head office in Sully, you can develop new skills and gain valuable work experience. Voluntary roles we offer include receptionist (Head Office and Hospice), Office Administrator, Lottery Assistant and others.
As a Fundraising Volunteer, you’ll support with bucket collections, help out at Tŷ Hafan-led and ad-hoc events throughout the year, and get involved in local fundraising activities. It’s a flexible and rewarding way to raise awareness, connect with others, and help us to reach every family who needs our support – one event at a time.
As well as working with children as a play worker, you can volunteer at our hospice in a number of other ways. These include tending to our beautiful gardens, working in our kitchen and maintaining our hospice building.
Volunteering in one of our Family Support Volunteer roles is a flexible and deeply rewarding way to help us reach every family who needs our support. Whether you’re offering practical help or emotional support, you’ll be making a meaningful difference to families in their own homes. You’ll be carefully matched with a family based on your skills, availability, and location, and receive full training along with ongoing guidance from our experienced team.
Our Volunteering team consists of the rather wonderful Laura Terry and Deborah John. They have lots of experience working with volunteers and are ready to answer any questions you may have.
