Volunteers Week takes place from 1st – 7th June every year. It’s a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to our communities and to say ‘thank you’.
Volunteers’ Week 2023 is “a time to celebrate and inspire”. The aim of this theme is to highlight that our diversity is our strength, show that there’s more than one way to volunteer and encourage people to be the change that they want to see.
Volunteers are always active at the heart of every UK community. So taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate and recognise their efforts and all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole have never been more important.
We are looking forward to you joining us for Volunteers’ Week 2023 to recognise the huge role volunteers play in our communities.
Find out more hereVolunteers play a vital part in the success and running of Tŷ Hafan – they make up a large percentage of our people.
We have over 500 volunteers in various different roles and each of their contribution is integral to our care of children with life-shortening conditions and their families. It is important for us to show our volunteers just how grateful we are for their time, effort and support.
Celebrating the week also provides us with a fantastic chance to welcome some new volunteers – inspiring them with the various opportunities we have available, listening to stories of how volunteering has improved the lives of many within Tŷ Hafan, whilst demonstrating the many benefits they could experience from donating their time to a worthy cause.
Keep an eye out on our social media channels to see how we’re thanking our volunteers and how we’re encouraging others to sign up!
