James is the chief executive officer of Vista, a leading technology services business company headquartered in Wales. He has over 20 years experience in business critical technology support and has worked with many companies to help them to define and implement technology strategies.
Sian Thomas
Trustee
Sian is the only nurse consultant for children in Wales and is based at Aneurin Bevan University Hospital Health Board. Her role involves enhancing patient care through service development, research, education and strategy. Sian has had a strong link with Tŷ Hafan throughout her career.

How does Tŷ Hafan meet the palliative care needs of the children it cares for?
We recognise the four elements that constitute total care: physical, emotional, social and spiritual. This means we provide a bespoke package of specialist palliative care to every child and their family members.
This involves us working with a range of professionals to assess needs, plan care, implement that care and then evaluate it.
Our support may be provided for days, weeks, months or years.
How old are the children and young people who use Tŷ Hafan?
We care for and support children from birth to their 18th birthday. If a young person reaches 18, they are no longer able to come to Tŷ Hafan for short break care, but we continue to support them and help them through the transition to adult services. This may include using an adult hospice.
