About the tournament

If you want to show off your skills on the pitch, make new connections and have a great time with your workmates, then you will love Tŷ Hafan Football Fives. Last year over 20 teams across Wales battled it out on the pitches and had the best time!

It’s is a round robin league where teams initially play for position in Champions League, Europa League and ECL stages. Then, the tournament moves on to knock-out phases, where the winners will go through to the semi final and then the final.

You’ll need a team of eight players. One goal keeper, four outfield players and three subs. Each team can have a maximum of eight players, with three being substitutes. Don’t worry if you don’t have the team sorted just yet, we’ll collect all the players details closer to the time!

Entry is £495.00 per team and you can sign up by filling in the form below.

Your team will get:

  • Access to the player refreshment station
  • Opportunity to network with other teams
  • Pizza and a pint/drink after the tournament
  • A minimum of five ten-minute games
  • Presentation of awards and guest speaker.

Prizes

There will the prizes for the winning team, second place, the ‘man of the match’ in the final, the top scorer, the ladies’ player of the tournament and the top fundraisers.

Timings on the day

13:00: registration and networking

14:00: introduction and tournament start

17:00: drinks reception, pizza and awards presentation.

Football Fives

The small print

  1. Teams must consist of at least five players, one goalkeeper and four outfield players
  2. Squads can consist of up to eight players, rolling subs allowed during each match.
  3. Team entry costs £495 per team and fees must be paid prior to taking part.
  4. Matches will be independently refereed to the Five A Side Rules, there is a zero-tolerance policy for lack of respect towards referees
  5. Spaces are limited at each event and teams are allocated on a first come first served basis.
  6. Players are required to register and sign a waiver at 2 pm on the day of the event
  7. Some matches are filmed and coverage shared on the Business Fives social media feeds – players should inform Business Fives if they do not wish to be filmed
  8. Matches are played on a 3G surface and AstroTurf boots will be perfect, players can also wear moldies and blades, but metal studs are not permitted.
